Wireless Network Processor (WNPU) Leadership
To help our customers maximize the
performance of 802.11n products, Atheros has
custom-designed the industry’s only wireless network
processors. They offer a range of powerful
processing power, Gigabit and Fast Ethernet support and
multiple interfaces for the expanding multimedia, data
networking and peripheral applications of 802.11n.
This means that Atheros-based 11n products overcome the
processing bottlenecks encountered by competitive
routers and access points.
Enhanced Features
In addition to providing superior
throughput and range, Atheros WLAN solutions for the
home and office offer ease of use and interoperability
with other networking solutions.
JumpStart for Wireless ™ enables
the user to setup an Atheros-based network with the
press of a button. And, it will interoperate with

JumpStart-established personal wireless network such as
cellular and VoIP phones, digital cameras, MP3s, digital
