Announces the Appointment of Dan Artusi to its Board of
Directors
SANTA
CLARA, Calif., July 28, 2008 — Atheros
Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATHR), a leading developer
of advanced semiconductor system solutions for wireless
and wired communications, today announced that industry
veteran, Dan Artusi, has re-joined Atheros’ board of
directors.
Artusi, who has more than 30 years
of experience in the semiconductor and communications
industries, most recently served as president, CEO and
board member of Conexant Systems, Inc., a communications
solutions semiconductor company. Previously, Mr. Artusi
was chairman and CEO of Coldwatt, Inc., a provider of
power supplies for the communications and computing
industries. He has also served as president, CEO and
director of Silicon Laboratories, a leading developer of
mixed signal integrated circuits and spent more than 20
years in various senior management roles at Motorola
Semiconductor. Mr. Artusi currently serves as a board
member of Qspeed Semiconductor, an early stage designer
and manufacturer of power semiconductors.
